There's a First Time for Everything...

Well, I am finally settled in to my new home. I have to say it is quite cozy. Daddy and mommy are doing a great job. I have had so many new experiences. So many, that it is hard to keep up with it all. Lucky for you, I have great memory. Okay, okay.... maybe it isn't MY memory. Maybe its the fact that mommy and daddy have taken a million pictures to document all my firsts. Hope you enjoy them as much as my parents have!
This was our first labor and delivery nurse, Mrs. Melissa. She has kids that go to mommy's school. She was very helpful and nice. She even came back to visit me.
This was my first meeting with my doggie, Marley. Although he doesn't have too much to do with me right now--he is always checking on me especially when I am upset. Daddy says that once I am bigger we will be the best of friends.

This is my first bedtime story. At first I was offended that that book was called, I Love You Stinky Face, but once I started listening I realized it was a book about unconditional love. I did not make it through the whole book, but I am getting more alert everyday!
My first trip out of the house! We were headed to see Dr. Tim. I did great and I had a great well check. I can't wait to get out again---and mommy can't wait either!
Oooohhhh....I love my calming chair. This was the first time I tried it out. It is a wonderful place to relax.
Uh oh! When Mrs. Ann came over I had an accident. Thankfully she thought it was funny. I overhead mommy tell her that this was my first christening. Whatever that means. Sorry Mrs. Ann! I only do this to people I love!

BamMa was my first babysister. She came over to keep me for a few hours so that mommy and daddy could get out of the house and run a few errands. We enjoyed cuddling and rocking.Okay, so this is not my first diaper change, nor will it be my last...but mommy liked this picture so I thought that I would include it. I mean if mommy ain't happy--ain't nobody happy, right?

My Last Day at Northside...Coming Home!

Yesterday, I had more vistors come see me. Mommy's friends stopped by. They all ooohhh and ahhhed at me. Mommy was so proud to show me off. I got fussy once due to all the commotion, but daddy worked his magic and got me settled. He knows just how to swaddle me up.
My daddy. He loves me so very much! Snug as a bug in a rug!
Caroline, one of mommy's friends. She was soooo excited to meet me.

Cheri, another one of mommy's friends. She just had a baby boy too. We will have to plan a play date soon.
Lauren came by too. She was super sweet.

Valeria came to see me too. She has been waiting a long time to hold me.
Wow. It feels good to be home. Although we didn't get home until midnight last night, we were all glad to be in our cozy home. At first I wasn't too sure about it, but mommy and daddy did a good job keeping me safe and warm last night. I know I didn't make it easy for them, but I was scared. I think I am figuring it all out now. Tonight will be better. Stay tuned to hear all about my many FIRSTS. I think you will all be impressed!

Good to See You!

Well, I must say it was good to see so many people that love me! Mommy and daddy kept saying to me that I was one lucky boy, but I just thought that was what parents told kids. But after all the many vistors I now know that I am not just lucky, but loved more than I could of ever imagined. I think I overheard the nurses saying that I am the most popular baby on the floor! Yeah, it's a hard life, but somebody has to do it. Mommy says we are headed home this afternoon if all goes as planned. I can't wait to see my home. Daddy has been telling me about meeting my doggy. Daddy says he is sweet and that we will be best friends. Mommy told me the doggy would not be there yet, just us 3 tonight. Well, it is time to eat again. Can't wait to meet everyone. Until then....

BamMa and PawPaw came to see me! I loved cuddling with them. Such good kisses! Can you believe that I came just in time to meet Aunt Von! So glad she could come see me. Her and BamMa were so fun and silly!

This is my Uncle Bo. He had the magic touch. Mommy says it is becuase he has raised 3 babies already. He sure was cozy!
Aunt Jenn came by too! She was very excited and sweet!
My cousins Ethan and Isabella came by for just a second. MamaJo wouldn't let them touch me, but they could not wait to meet me. I can't wait to hang out with them when I am a tad bigger.

Aunt Sara, mommy's sister, came back by. She was there when I was born too. She reminded me a ton of my mommy.
I don't know who was excited more-- me or Aunt Jenny. She kept telling me about all the adventures that we are going to have together. Mommy says she is a lot of fun. Ummm..can't wait! Mommy's friend, Katie, came by too! She has twins so she knew exactly what to do. Her and mommy had a nice time chatting...I could not get a word in...daddy couldn't either!MamaJo was a natural too. I am her 6th grandbaby, yet she was still over the moon happy.
At first I wasn't sure about this giant, but then I figured out this was Papa. His touch and kisses were so gentle and sweet. I was so happy to meet him.

This is Aunt Magill. This was right after I was born, but I had to include her in my vistor section. She was in the room when I came into this world. She helped mommy, daddy, and me. Love you!

Hello World!

Hello world! How've ya been? Me, happy and heatlhy! I finally decided to make my arrival on November 19, 2010 at 7:23 p.m. Mom said that I was stubborn, but that I get it honest. I was 21 inches long & 7 pounds 12 ounces of all boy! I had lots of people cheering for me to get here. Aunt Magill and daddy were mommy's coaches and they were great! Mama Jo, Papa, Bamma, Paw Paw, Aunt Sara, Uncle Stewart, Aunt Jenny, Mrs. Janelle, and my cousins Ethan & Isabella were all in the waiting room cheering mommy and me on. Once I was here they all got to come take a peek at me. They even brought me a gift! It was the book On the Night You Were Born. Everyone that was here on the night I was born signed it. It is a precious gift that I will love forever. After everyone got to take a peek at me, doctors poked at me and I had a bath. They all kept saying I was prefect...I could of told them that! Me, mommy, & daddy all finally got to go to sleep! It was a long day for everyone, but I am here and I can't wait to meet everyone.

Aunt Magill, one of mommy's coaches. Mommy says she couldn't of done it without her! I made it! At first I was confused, but I quickly figured it out. HELLO WORLD!

I finally got to meet my mommy and daddy! They were so excited to see me and I was so excited to see them. One happy family! Everyone taking a peek. For such a small boy.... I sure had a big crowd waiting on me. How lucky I am!
I was not happy when this lady started getting me cold, but then I figured out she was helping me! It was my first bath. She even gave me a massage shampoo. All the time she kept bragging about my head full of hair. What can I say? I'm perfect.

Ready or Not!!!!

Nine months have passed in this cozy little spot that I've been calling home. Though Mommy has done a remarkable job of keeping me safe and warm, I think I may be ready to venture out into the world. I've been hearing all of the fun going on around me for a while now, and I can't miss another minute!

As we speak, I am trying to make my way. Last time we 'checked' I had several centimeters to go (whatever that means!) While I'm good and ready to arrive , I'm trusting Mommy and I will figure out the perfect time for my entrance. So, for now, I'm taking my time.

But all is well for both Mommy and I. Daddy is hanging in there, too.

Next time I write, I will have found a new cozy little spot...Mommy's arms.

More to come...
